While the chief purpose of the media center is to extend the learning experience of the classroom by providing additional materials for broadening and enrichment, it also aims to develop in Douglas Anderson School of the Arts students a love of books and proficiency in their use.

HOURS
Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

LOAN PERIODS
Two weeks- Books and Plays (Maximum of two books at one time unless special permission is given.)
Overnight- Encyclopedias, Reserve Materials, Other
Reference Material
Library Use- Periodicals

OVERDUE BOOKS

Fines are 10 cents per day with a maximum of $4 for each overdue book. Students with overdue or lost books may not check out additional books. Overdue notices are sent two times per nine weeks through the English department.

COMPUTERS
The Media Center has sixteen internet computers that run Microsoft Office 2003. Students may use these any time provided they have turned in their computer use permission form.

BOOK CHECK-OUT/BOOK RETURN
The automated circulation system requires students to present their ID cards to the media center clerk who checks for overdue books or outstanding fines. Students must return books to the slot at the circulation desk.

COPY MACHINE & SUPPLIES
Copies can be made for 10 cents per page. The machine provides change up to one dollar. Paper, pens, and pencils are available for purchase.
